It took me a while to fall in love with coffee. Although I liked its smell since I can remember, it was my college days when I started drinking it on regular basis. Of course, same as other coeds, I started drinking coffee for that caffeine kick it gives, which I needed during my studies. However, over time I realized that coffee has become my favorite drink.
In fact, I can’t imagine a day without drinking at least a cup. It’s 2016 and you would think that I got fed up with this beverage after years of drinking it on a regular basis. But, I simply can’t see it happening, especially not since I bought the Keurig K55 which I love for its programmable features.
It’s impossible to explain colors to a person who’s been in dark their whole life. That is how I feel about coffee made with this coffee maker. The only way to realize how amazing it is, is by trying it!
How I decided on buying the Keurig K55
Coffee was my faithful companion through my college days and has accompanied me since. When I got my first salary, I decided to treat myself with a coffee maker. I wanted the best one, but I wasn’t eager to spend too much of my hard-earned money. So, I decided to ask my friend Google for a help. I think I searched for a phrase “top rated coffee makers” or something like that.
I saw that many respectable tech websites like CNET have been praising coffee makers manufactured by Keurig, so I decided to look more into it. After checking their products, I realized that my perfect single serve or one cup coffee maker was Keurig K55.
Keurig K55 is Extremely Easy to Use!
I remember that I was having doubts whether to buy this coffee maker or Keurig K15. What helped me make up my mind was the programmable auto-off feature of Keurig K55. On top of that, this model comes with a set of button controls that are quite easy to use.
You only need to press a button to choose your brew size (6, 8 and 10 ounces) and make yourself a cup of coffee, cappuccino or tea. Once you’re done with making your drink of choice, you can clean the machine quite easily. The same goes for replacing the filters, refilling the 48 ounces water reservoir, etc.

Reusable Coffee Filter
This product comes with the so-called My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter, which you can use to brew all types of coffee. All you got to do is put a pod with your favorite brand of coffee. My favorite choice is the Green Mountain Coffee, but you can use the one you like the most, whether it’s Folgers, Starbucks, Maxwell House, etc. Speaking of coffee pods, this one cup coffee maker comes with a storage drawer for the capsules. Apart from storing up to 28 K-Cup pods, I also use it as a stand for my Keurig K55.
Keurig Travel Mug
Keurig K55 also comes with a stainless steel travel mug. This product is pretty useful as it can keep the coffee or any other beverage hot for up to 5 hours. During summer, I like drinking lots of frappé, so I carry it in this container, which can keep it cold for almost half a day. Keurig used the Contigo Autoseal technology for this mug, which makes spilling practically impossible.
Keurig K55 Specs:

Pros & Cons
Here are the things that I love the most about my Keurig K55 coffee maker:
- Easy to control – It is extremely easy to set it to make you a cup of your favorite coffee.
- Cleaning is easy – Coffee filter is easy to clean and the same case is with the water tank.
- Storage Drawer – You can use it both as a drawer for maximum 28 pods and as a stand for your coffee maker.
- Compact dimensions – Keurig K55 won’t take too much space in your kitchen or home office as its dimensions are 9.8 x 14 x 13.5 inches.
There is only one thing I consider a flaw of this product:
- Price – This is not the cheapest product made by Keurig. For example, Keurig K15 is bit cheaper, but I wouldn’t change my K55 for it.
I’ve been using Keurig K55 coffee maker for a while now and I’m still really impressed with it. I’m glad to find out that other people share my enthusiasm, which you can see in other online reviews of this product. If you are a coffee-lover like me, you shouldn’t think too much about buying it. Keurig K55 has everything the best coffee maker needs to have!
